I have been asked by many people “Why soap?”

I have to say that there are many reasons for my choice.  The foremost is because I love making soap.  I love the whole process start to finish. When I made my first soap, I was hooked.  It was the best soap I had ever bathed with.  Through the years, I have spent a lot of money on lavish soaps and lotions. I really do like mine better.  I can formulate for what I want to have and I can have the scent I desire.  I started sharing it with my family and my friends and decided to go for it.

How did I get into soaping?  That’s another question I hear often.  In May 2020, I broke my ankle.  It was a bad break.  I had to have surgery and now have brackets and screws in my ankle.  The really bad thing about my break was that I have a lot of allergies and couldn’t take pain meds.  It was a very hard time to get through but it did heal.  When I was able to walk again, 10 weeks later, it was quite a process.  The pain was incredible and once again I was battling the pain.  I started searching out ways to help ease the pain.  I looked into just about everything I could google.  One of the biggest reliefs I got was from Epsom Salt soaks.  I started looking into that deeper and found a world of salt baths.  Dead Sea Salt, Himalayan  Salt, all sorts of salt.  So, I started having fun with it.  Somewhere I found a recipe that had Hemp Seed Oil in it so I figured, why not try.  At minimum, it should help the scaring.  I was blown away at how much adding Hemp Seed Oil helped my skin.  I started studying it further and found a wealth of benefits!

Why Hemp? Hemp Seed Oil has a high concentration of skin loving vitamins including A, promoting protection from premature aging. Vitamin C, essential for building collagen, promotes skin elasticity, assist in an even tone and is known to brighten skin. Also, the antioxidant vitamin E encourages healthy skin-tissue growth.

Skin is a fatty organ and likes other unsaturated fatty acids like Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 that Hemp oil is bursting with. This aids your skin by strengthening the barrier and boosts hydration by preventing water loss from the top of your skin.

Hemp oil is very Emollient. Helping your skin to be soft and supple. Because it is non-pore clogging, it is excellent for problematic skin and skin conditions. I have seen great improvement in the Rosacea (hyper pigmentation) I have on my face. It has lightened a lot.

Antioxidants are essential in protecting your skin against premature aging. Antioxidant constituents such as Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), vitamins A, C and E help give your skin some protection against premature aging.

Isn’t this CBD? That’s another question I get a lot.  No, it is not CBD.  I will probably add a CBD line of products and when I do, they will be very distinguishable.
